Dayspring Church of God had concerns about the concept design for their church renovation project that had been prepared by another architect. Childress & Cunningham reviewed the design and interviewed the Building Committee, and discerned that the existing facility had circulation problems that the proposed design made worse. The Building Committee was convinced by the analysis and hired Childress & Cunningham to redesign the project. The work includes chancel redesign and the addition of balcony seating in the sanctuary. Other program features include a new bookstore, expanded administrative suite, and supplemental restrooms. The Narthex is also doubled in size for fellowship, displays, and circulation. Childress & Cunningham has completed schematic design.
