The Amcast Company sought to communicate an upscale corporate image to their “Fortune 500” clientele in the design of their Executive Headquarters. Childress and Cunningham’s project architects developed a design theme that directs attention toward key spaces: the Lobby, Product Conference Room, Boardroom and Chief Executive’s Office. A sequence of arrival nodes, portals and spaces was devised to emphasize the theme. Careful space planning throughout this 15,000 square foot corporate suite focuses on a balance between design elements and function. Custom designed cabinetry, carpet and lighting were integrated with Amcast’s existing furniture systems to unify the image of the Headquarters with the efficiency and flexibility of the company’s daily operations.
