It’s time to take a look at progress inside this custom Craftsman home Childress and Cunningham Architects has designed. Above, at the hub of the home, is the dramatic great room with sixteen foot ceilings and and the largest expanse of glass in the residence. Ceiling beams and built-in cabinetry have been installed, and the corner fireplace will impart a cozy feel to this large space.
Next is the formal dining room which shares the high ceilings of the central pavilion of the home. Sightlines flow through large passageways from here to the foyer and great room. The lofty character, beamed ceilings and ample glass continue into this space, creating a dramatic setting for formal meals.
Adjacent to the dining room is the gourmet kitchen. This elegant workspace will soon receive a tile backsplash between its two-tone cabinetry, including a special pattern at the range. The kitchen forms one end of an open plan space that extends front-to-back and takes in views over the large rear deck.
We hope you enjoyed this peek inside a home that has been designed as a natural fit for its broad, wooded hillside site. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting project progresses!
