Heavy timber construction formed the structural roof system and a decorative exterior for this suburban addition. Childress & Cunningham designed an innovative panelized roof system to add a high R-value roof system and a venting layer that still allows the full truss to be seen from the room. The ceiling interior used an acoustic, paintable foam to lower the reverberant level of the numerous hard surfaces of the design.
