This project, funded by the Community Development Block Grant program for the Shelterhouse Volunteer Group, reclaimed an unoccupied and deteriorating building in Over-the-Rhine. The renovation and rehabilitation project created dormitory style transitional housing, with sleeping rooms, and common lounges and bathrooms. The building's mechanical and electrical systems were replaced, and safety and egress issues in the stairways and hallways were resolved, while the historic character of the building was preserved.
