The original apartments had become dated and unattractive. Maple Knoll Village residents requested a new two-bedroom unit as a more appropriate lifestyle fit. The renovations have included careful reconfiguration of the space, combining two or three adjacent apartments into larger apartments. New kitchen cabinetry and larger, more maneuverable bathrooms make these spaces more friendly and functional, as well as bring them into compliance with current building codes. Entries are enlarged into foyers, a separate dining room space is provided, a breakfast bar added and ample closet space is accorded in each of the new units.
