Childress & Cunningham led Caring Hearts, a health care provider for the elderly through a programming process to quantify a facility that would provide the level of resident service they envisioned. The design team crafted a 60 bed, 50,000 square foot self-supporting facility that creates a residential neighborhood complete with a Boulevard of shops, personal services, lounges and activities. Residents can visit the doctor, dentist, do their banking, get their hair done and shop for gifts and necessities without leaving the building. Dining opportunities range from a formal dining room to a casual bistro with ice cream parlor and a private dining room. Gathering areas include a formal parlor, sunroom, TV room, main lounge and private lounges. A full food prep kitchen and laundry facility add to the list of services offered for the residents.
