Located on an existing downtown site in Harrison Ohio, Childress & Cunningham created an attractive, low cost Family Life Center with the flexibility to serve as a sanctuary, banquet hall or gymnasium. The building program also includes classroom space, a serving kitchen, restrooms and foyer. Split face block at the base of the building adds durability and helps the new facility relate favorably with the existing church building's brick surfaces. A steel superstructure was integrated with the design to allow a future second floor around three sides of the building.
