After winning a design competition, Roger L. Kerlin, AIA led a design firm selected by the CEO and management team of Aristech Acrylics to create a new office and research facility on the Florence, Kentucky campus. The new corporate headquarters is the world’s first commercial building to use solid surface material as its primary exterior wall cladding. In addition to the exterior wall cladding, Acrystone ® was used creatively throughout the building, for soffits, windowsills, countertops, cabinetry, restroom partitions, furniture, column enclosures, and signage.
