The City of Sharonville selected a design team led by Roger L. Kerlin AIA to design a memorial in honor of men and women who served in the U.S. military, regardless of being involved in a war conflict. The design incorporates the natural attributes of the hillside site and adjacent creek as sculptural and meaningful elements of the memorial experience.

Access to the memorial is gained by crossing a pedestrian bridge over a stream, symbolizing wars fought overseas. Granite sentinels, commemorative bricks, and bricks inscribed with names of supporters are among the materials sensitively utilized in this grateful tribute to our nation‘s veterans.
